Classic crispy marshmallow treats are upgraded with butter-fried black sesame seeds and toasted sesame oil for an aromatic, nutty flavor. Press the mixture into a square pan for neat bars, or spread it on a sheet pan for airy clusters.

Weights are estimates. Together, the ingredients weigh about 635 g before cooking, which is about 40 g per serving.
Steps
Grease a 9-inch square baking pan with sesame oil.
Place the butter in a large pot over medium-high heat. Melt it, stirring occasionally, until the milk solids at the bottom of the pot begin to brown, about 2 to 3 minutes.
Reduce the heat to low. Add the black sesame seeds and cook, stirring constantly, until the seeds smell toasty, about 1 to 2 minutes.
Add the marshmallows and kosher salt. Stir until the marshmallows are fully melted, about 5 minutes.
Turn off the heat and stir in the 2 teaspoons of toasted sesame oil.
Add the Rice Krispies cereal and quickly stir until it is evenly coated in the melted marshmallow mixture.
Immediately press the coated cereal mixture into the greased pan.
Let the treats cool for at least 10 minutes.
Flip the set mixture out onto a cutting board and slice it into squares.
Notes
Store the treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days. The source also suggests spreading the mixture on a greased sheet pan to make airy clusters; the clusters can be served with milk as cereal. Using two utensils can help distribute the cereal quickly and evenly through the sticky marshmallow mixture.
