Ingredients

  • 1 lb pork belly (cut into bite-sized cubes)
  • 0.5 cup Coca-Cola (or enough to coat the pork)
  • 1 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 1 tsp dark soy sauce (for color)
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 3 garlic (cloves, minced)
  • 1 inch ginger (sliced or minced)
  • 0.5 tsp Chinese five spice powder

Steps

  1. 1

Cut the pork belly into bite-sized cubes, approximately 1-inch thick.

  2. 2

In a mixing bowl, combine the pork belly cubes with Coca-Cola, light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, oyster sauce, minced garlic, ginger, and five spice powder.

  3. 3

Toss the pork thoroughly to ensure every piece is well-coated in the marinade. For best results, let it marinate for at least 10-15 minutes if time permits.

  4. 4

Place the marinated pork belly in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Do not overcrowd the basket to ensure even crisping.

  5. 5

Air fry at 380°F (190°C) for 12-15 minutes. Halfway through the cooking time, shake the basket or flip the pork pieces to ensure they brown evenly and the sauce caramelizes into a sticky glaze.

  6. 6

Remove from the air fryer once the pork is cooked through and the edges are slightly charred and crispy.

Notes

The sugar in the Coca-Cola caramelizes quickly in the air fryer, creating a BBQ-like finish without a grill. If the sauce isn't sticky enough, you can air fry for an additional 2 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning.
