Ingredients

  • 2 pears (Halved; remove the middle seeds and stems)
  • 1 tbsp butter (Melted)
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp light brown sugar
  • 0.125 tsp vanilla extract
  • yoghurt (1–2 scoops)
  • pecans (1 small handful, chopped)

Steps

  1. 1

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a baking tray with baking paper.

  2. 2

Halve the pears and remove the middle seeds and stems. Arrange them on the prepared tray with the cut sides facing up.

  3. 3

In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, maple syrup, cinnamon, light brown sugar, and vanilla extract until completely emulsified.

  4. 4

Spoon the cinnamon-butter mixture over the pears so they are coated.

  5. 5

Turn the pears cut-side down, then brush some of the cinnamon butter over the backs.

  6. 6

Bake for 30 minutes, or until the pears are soft and beginning to caramelize.

  7. 7

Serve in bowls with a scoop of yoghurt, chopped pecans, and some of the leftover sweet cinnamon butter.

Notes
