Weights are estimates. Together, the ingredients weigh about 2.13 kg before cooking, which is about 355 g per serving.
Steps
Place the beef stew meat into the bottom of a slow cooker.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the golden mushroom soup, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, and black pepper until well combined.
Pour the soup mixture over the beef in the slow cooker and stir to ensure the meat is evenly coated.
Cover and cook on low for 7 to 8 hours (or on high for 4 hours) until the beef is very tender.
About 20 minutes before serving, cook the egg noodles in a large pot of salted boiling water according to the package instructions.
Drain the noodles and toss them with butter.
Serve the golden beef and gravy generously over the buttered egg noodles.
Notes
Golden mushroom soup is the key ingredient here; do not substitute with cream of mushroom as the flavor profile is significantly different. If the sauce is too thin at the end of cooking, you can stir in a small cornstarch slurry and cook on high for 15 minutes to thicken.
