Ingredients

  • 1 refrigerated pizza dough
  • 5 eggs
  • salt (to taste; for the eggs and gravy)
  • 4 tbsp butter (divided; use 2 tablespoons to cook the eggs and the remainder for the sausage gravy)
  • 0.5 lb breakfast sausage
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 cup whole milk
  • black pepper (cracked, to taste)
  • 6 slices cheddar cheese

Steps

  1. 1

Heat the oven to 400°F (about 200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. 2

Roll out the refrigerated pizza dough on the prepared baking sheet. Prick holes across the dough with a fork.

  3. 3

Bake the crust for about 15 minutes, until golden.

  4. 4

    Beat the eggs with salt.

  5. 5

Melt 2 tablespoons of the butter in a skillet. Add the beaten eggs and cook them.

  6. 6

Spread the cooked eggs over the baked pizza crust.

  7. 7

In another skillet, brown the breakfast sausage.

  8. 8

Add the remaining butter to the sausage and stir until melted.

  9. 9

Sprinkle the flour over the sausage mixture and whisk to combine.

  10. 10

Add the milk. Cook over low heat until the gravy thickens, then season with salt and cracked black pepper.

  11. 11

Top the eggs with the cheddar slices, then spread the sausage gravy over the cheese.

  12. 12

Return the pizza to the oven for about 15 minutes. Slice and serve.

Notes

The post does not state the amount of salt or cracked black pepper. It also does not specify the package weight of the refrigerated dough or an exact doneness cue for the eggs.
