Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breast (sliced thinly)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for marinade)
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 0.5 tsp msg (optional)
  • 3 eggs (beaten)
  • 1.5 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 0.333 cup Parmesan cheese (shredded, for breadcrumbs)
  • salt and pepper (to taste, for breading)
  • Parsley (for breadcrumbs)
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 0.5 lemon (freshly squeezed)
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese (shredded, for dressing)
  • 1 tbsp worcestershire
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 0.5 tbsp garlic paste
  • 1 tsp black pepper (for dressing)
  • 1 tsp anchovy paste
  • 3 cup romaine lettuce (chopped)
  • salt (to taste, for dressing)
  • garlic butter (for rolls)
  • 2 sandwich rolls
  • oil (for frying)

Steps

  1. 1

In a bowl, combine thinly sliced chicken breast, 1 tbsp olive oil, oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, msg (if using), and pepper.

  2. 2

Let the chicken marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight for the best flavor.

  3. 3

Set up 3 bowls for breading: all-purpose flour in the first, beaten eggs in the second, and a mixture of panko bread crumbs, shredded Parmesan, salt, pepper, and parsley in the third.

  4. 4

Remove chicken from the marinade bowl, then dredge each piece in flour, then dip in the egg, and finally coat thoroughly in the panko-Parmesan mix.

  5. 5

Heat oil in a skillet to 350°F (175°C).

  6. 6

Fry the chicken cutlets for 3–4 minutes per side until they are golden brown and crispy.

  7. 7

Place the fried chicken on a wire rack or paper towels to drain excess oil.

  8. 8

In a large bowl, combine mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, anchovy paste, garlic paste, Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper.

  9. 9

Whisk the dressing ingredients until well combined.

  10. 10

Add the chopped romaine lettuce to the bowl and mix until the leaves are evenly coated with the dressing.

  11. 11

Apply garlic butter to the sandwich rolls and toast them lightly until warm.

  12. 12

Spread a bit of the Caesar dressing on both the top and bottom of the toasted rolls.

  13. 13

Add a generous portion of the Caesar salad mixture to the bottom roll, then place a crispy chicken cutlet on top.

  14. 14

Sprinkle with extra Parmesan cheese, add the top of the sandwich roll, and serve hot.

Notes

For best flavor, marinate the chicken overnight. Ensure the oil is at the correct temperature (350°F) before frying to prevent the chicken from becoming greasy.
