Ingredients

  • 1 cup Water (warm)
  • 1 tsp Instant Yeast
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 cup All purpose flour (can also use bread flour)
  • 1.5 tbsp Oil (1 or 2 tbs)
  • 0.5 cup Ketchup
  • 1 tsp Powdered pepper
  • Salt (a pinch)
  • 0.5 tsp Onion powder (optional)
  • 0.5 tsp Garlic powder (optional)
  • Seasoning of choice (to taste)
  • Mozzarella Cheese (enough to suit your preference)
  • 2 Sausages (sliced)
  • 0.5 Green Bell Peppers (sliced)
  • 0.25 Onions (sliced)

Steps

  1. 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of water, 1 tsp of instant yeast, 2 tbsp of sugar, and 1 tsp of salt. Stir until the yeast and sugar are dissolved.

  2. 2

Add 2 cups of all-purpose flour and 1 to 2 tbsp of oil to the wet mixture. Mix until a dough forms, then knead until smooth. Cover and let the dough rise in a warm place until doubled in size (about 30-45 minutes).

  3. 3

While the dough is rising, prepare the pizza sauce by mixing 1/2 cup of ketchup, 1 tsp of powdered pepper, a pinch of salt, 1/2 tsp of onion powder, and 1/2 tsp of garlic powder in a small bowl. Add any other seasonings of choice and set aside.

  4. 4

Prepare your toppings by slicing the sausages, green bell peppers, and onions. Grate the mozzarella cheese.

  5. 5

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out to fit your frying pan or skillet.

  6. 6

Place the dough into a lightly oiled cold pan, spreading it out to the edges. Spread the prepared pizza sauce evenly over the dough.

  7. 7

Add the mozzarella cheese and your prepared toppings (sausages, peppers, and onions) on top of the sauce.

  8. 8

Cover the pan with a tight-fitting lid. Place the pan on the stove over very low heat.

  9. 9

Cook for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese has completely melted and the crust is cooked through and golden on the bottom. Serve immediately.

Notes

You can use bread flour instead of all-purpose flour for a chewier crust. Feel free to customize the toppings to your preference.
