Ingredients
- 2 Lobster tails (cooked and chopped)
- 3 Potatoes (peeled, boiled, and mashed)
- 2 tbsp Butter (for the potatoes and sautéing)
- 0.25 cup Heavy cream (for the sauce and potatoes)
- 1 clove Garlic (minced)
- Salt and Black Pepper (to taste)
- 1 tbsp Fresh parsley (chopped for garnish)
Steps
- 1
Prepare the mashed potato topping by boiling peeled potatoes until tender, then mashing them with butter and a splash of heavy cream until smooth. Season with salt to taste.
- 2
Prepare the lobster meat by removing it from the shells and cutting it into bite-sized chunks.
- 3
In a skillet over medium heat, lightly sauté minced garlic in butter until fragrant, then add the lobster meat to warm through.
- 4
Stir in a small amount of heavy cream to create a light sauce around the lobster meat. Season with salt and pepper.
- 5
Transfer the lobster mixture into a small baking dish or individual ramekins.
- 6
Spread the prepared mashed potatoes evenly over the top of the lobster mixture. Use a fork to create ridges on the surface for extra crispiness.
- 7
Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes, or until the potato topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
- 8
Garnish with fresh parsley before serving hot.
