Ingredients

  • 1 apple (Cut into pieces; may be replaced with pear or banana.)
  • 1 egg
  • 50 g unsweetened cocoa powder (Unsweetened.)
  • 1 tbsp stevia or another sweetener (Optional, to sweeten to taste.)

Steps

  1. 1

Cut the apple into small pieces. It is not necessary to peel it if the blender or food processor can blend the skin well.

  2. 2

Place the chopped apple in the blender or food processor.

  3. 3

Add the egg and unsweetened cocoa powder. If you want a sweeter brownie, also add the stevia or another sweetener.

  4. 4

Process or blend until you obtain a smooth, thick mixture with no large pieces of apple. If using chocolate chips, you may optionally fold them in after processing.

  5. 5

Pour the mixture into an approximately 12 cm microwave-safe pan or mold. If using a larger mold, double the quantities.

  6. 6

Cook in the microwave in 2 or 3 batches of 1 minute each. Check between batches; the brownie is ready when the center no longer looks liquid, although it should retain some moisture.

  7. 7

Alternatively, cook in a preheated oven or air fryer at 180 °C for approximately 20 minutes, until the center is cooked but still moist.

  8. 8

Let it rest for a few minutes before cutting. Divide the brownie into four portions.
