Ingredients

  • 2 lb sirloin steak (cut into bite-sized pieces)
  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix (approx. 1 oz)
  • 1 packet onion soup mix (approx. 1 oz)
  • 4 tbsp butter (cut into pats)
  • 0.5 cup beef broth

Steps

  1. 1

Cut the steak into bite-sized pieces, approximately 1-inch cubes.

  2. 2

Add the steak pieces to the bottom of the crockpot.

  3. 3

Sprinkle the au jus gravy mix and the onion soup mix evenly over the steak.

  4. 4

Place the pats of butter on top of the seasoned steak.

  5. 5

Pour the beef broth into the crockpot.

  6. 6

Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours, until the steak is tender.

  7. 7

Serve the steak bites and gravy over a scoop of garlic mashed potatoes, rice, or as an Au Jus sub.

Notes

For best results, use a tender cut of beef like sirloin or ribeye. If the gravy is too thin at the end of cooking, you can whisk in a small cornstarch slurry to thicken it. This recipe is highly versatile and can be served over mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles.
