- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 garlic (pressed)
- 3 tbsp chopped fresh dill
- 1 tbsp salt (or to taste)
- 1 tbsp freshly ground black pepper (or to taste)
- 2 tsp lemon zest
Steps
- 1
Gather all the necessary ingredients for the preparation.
- 2
In a large bowl, combine the yogurt, grated cucumber, lemon juice, olive oil, and pressed garlic.
- 3
Add the chopped fresh dill, salt, pepper, and lemon zest; mix well until the mixture is smooth and homogeneous.
- 4
Pour the mixture into a serving dish or container. Garnish with a bit of additional fresh dill if desired.
Notes
For the best flavor, cover the container tightly and refrigerate for 8 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld and intensify. Some users suggest using 2% Greek yogurt for a thicker consistency.
