Italian Green Bean Casserole

Ingredients
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese (divided)
- 32 oz frozen green beans (partially thawed)
- 12 oz frozen artichoke hearts (partially thawed)
- 2.5 tsp garlic powder
- 1.5 tsp kosher salt
- 0.5 tsp pepper
- 1 cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
- 0.5 cup extra virgin olive oil (plus more as needed)

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).

Reserve 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese for topping and add remaining cheese to a large bowl.

Add green beans, artichoke hearts, garlic powder, salt, pepper, breadcrumbs, and olive oil to the bowl.

Stir until well combined and mixture is evenly coated with olive oil. Add a little more oil if necessary to moisten the mixture.

Transfer mixture to a baking dish.

Bake in the preheated oven for 50 to 60 minutes, stirring halfway through.

Top with reserved cheese during the last 10 minutes of baking.
Notes
A good quality olive oil is recommended as it provides the primary flavor for this cream-free casserole.
