Ingredients

  • 700 g minced beef
  • 1 onion (finely chopped; additional onion is listed separately for caramelising)
  • 3 green chillies (finely chopped)
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 0.5 tsp achar gosht masala (spice blend; ingredients not specified)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped; the method also refers to coriander, but the ingredient list specifies parsley)
  • salt (to taste, for patties)
  • oil (2–3 tbsp for cooking)
  • burger buns (quantity not stated)
  • lettuce (quantity not stated)
  • cheese slices (for burgers; quantity not stated)
  • 1 onion (caramelised; used for burgers and fries)
  • pickles (for burgers; quantity not stated)
  • 4 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 2 tbsp mustard sauce (ingredients not specified)
  • 1 tbsp sweet chilli sauce (ingredients not specified)
  • 0.5 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • salt (to taste, for burger sauce)
  • pickles (chopped for burger sauce; quantity not stated)
  • parsley (chopped for burger sauce; quantity not stated)
  • fries (hot; quantity not stated)
  • 2 cheese slices (for the fries)

Steps

  1. 1

Finely chop the onion and green chillies for the patties, and chop the parsley. Have the remaining patty ingredients ready.

  2. 2

In a bowl, mix the minced beef with the chopped onion and green chillies, red chilli powder, achar gosht masala, garlic powder, ginger-garlic paste, parsley (called coriander in the method), and salt.

  3. 3

Divide the mixture into 7–8 balls. Place each between parchment paper and press into a thin patty.

  4. 4

Heat the oil in a pan until hot. Cook the patties for about 4 minutes on each side.

  5. 5

Add cheese slices to the patties, cover the pan, and let the cheese melt.

  6. 6

Stack two patties together for each burger.

  7. 7

In a bowl, mix the mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard sauce, sweet chilli sauce, cayenne pepper, lemon juice, salt, chopped pickles, and chopped parsley until smooth. Set the sauce aside.

  8. 8

    Toast the burger buns.

  9. 9

Spread burger sauce on the toasted buns. Add lettuce, the double beef patties, caramelised onion, and pickles. Drizzle with more sauce and top with the remaining bun halves.

  10. 10

Place the cheese slices over the hot fries and microwave for 1 minute, until the cheese has melted.

  11. 11

Top the fries with caramelised onions and a generous drizzle of burger sauce. Serve hot with the burgers.

Notes

The method says coriander while the ingredient list specifies fresh parsley. The amount of cooking oil is listed as 2–3 tbsp. Quantities are not specified for buns, lettuce, cheese for burgers, pickles, fries, chopped sauce pickles, or sauce parsley; no amount is given for caramelised onions for the fries beyond their separate ingredient listing. The method does not state how to caramelise the onion or how to cook the fries.
