Ingredients

  • 2 ripe persimmons (Cleaned, peeled, and cut into cubes)
  • 3 tbsp Hot Pepper Calabrian Sauce or harissa (The source specifies Trader Joe's as an example brand)
  • 3.5 garlic cloves (Use 3 to 4 cloves)
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger (Finely grated or minced)
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 0.25 cup liquid aminos
  • 1 tbsp ground cumin
  • 1 tbsp agave
  • 0.25 cup avocado oil
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 small shallot (Chopped)
  • salt (To taste)
  • black pepper (To taste)

Steps

  1. 1

Clean the persimmons, remove their skin, and cut the fruit into cubes. Trim and prepare the garlic, ginger, and shallot as listed.

  2. 2

Add the cubed persimmons, hot pepper Calabrian sauce or harissa, garlic, ginger, apple cider vinegar, liquid aminos, cumin, agave, avocado oil, cinnamon, and chopped shallot to a blender.

  3. 3

Blend until completely smooth and the sauce has an even, pourable consistency. Stop and scrape down the sides of the blender if needed.

  4. 4

  5. 5

Serve as a marinade, sauce, or dip.
