- 1.5 tsp Parsley (For the steak; dried or fresh not specified)
- 1 tsp Cumin (For the steak)
- 1.5 tsp Smoked paprika (For the steak)
- 1 Lime juice (Juice of 1 whole lime)
- 2 tsp Olive oil (For the steak marinade)
- 20 g Light butter (For cooking and extra after cooking)
- Fresh garlic paste (Amount not specified)
- 800 g White potatoes (Raw and cubed)
- 2 tsp Italian herbs (For seasoning the potatoes)
- 1.5 tsp Garlic powder (For the potatoes)
- 1.5 tsp Paprika (For the potatoes)
- 1.5 tsp Salt (For the potatoes)
- 2 tsp Olive oil (Optional; for the potatoes)
- 3.5 Garlic cloves (Chopped; source gives 3–4 cloves)
- 100 g Red onion (Chopped)
- 1 tsp Italian herbs (Added to the sauce)
- 50 g Chipotle chilli paste
- 250 ml Light evaporated milk
- 100 g Light cream cheese
- 30 g Parmesan cheese (Grated)
- Fresh parsley (Freshly chopped; amount not specified)
Steps
- 1
Cut the steak into bite-sized cubes. Combine it with the lime juice, olive oil, salt, garlic powder, parsley, cumin, smoked paprika, and fresh garlic paste; mix thoroughly to coat. Marinate for at least 30 minutes for better flavor.
- 2
Cut the raw potatoes into cubes. Season them with the Italian herbs, garlic powder, paprika, and salt. Add the optional olive oil and mix well to coat.
- 3
Bake or air-fry the seasoned potatoes at 200°C (400°F) for 20–22 minutes, until golden.
- 4
Heat a pan over medium-high heat and melt some of the measured light butter for cooking. Work in batches so the pan is not overcrowded.
- 5
Sear the steak bites for 2–3 minutes on each side, until they develop a browned crust.
- 6
Add the remaining light butter after cooking, as indicated in the ingredient note, and set the steak aside.
- 7
Cook the chopped garlic cloves and red onion for 5 minutes, until softened.
- 8
Add the remaining 1 teaspoon Italian herbs and the chipotle chilli paste. Mix well to combine before adding the milk.
- 9
Pour in the light evaporated milk, then add the light cream cheese and grated Parmesan. Stir over low heat just until smooth and creamy; the source says the sauce does not need to be cooked.
- 10
Add the roasted potatoes to the sauce and mix until coated. Finish with freshly chopped parsley and serve with the steak bites.
Notes
The source gives no amount for fresh garlic paste or freshly chopped parsley. The instructions do not specify how much butter is used for cooking versus added afterward. Transcript describes the steak as lean and the potatoes as roasted until golden; description permits baking or air-frying.
