Ingredients
- 360 g water
- 7 g instant yeast
- 70 g sugar
- 600 g bread flour
- 32 g powdered milk
- 9 g salt
- 60 g butter (room temperature)
- 13 g oil (for drizzling)
Steps
- 1
Measure out all your ingredients accurately.
- 2
Add the water, instant yeast, sugar, bread flour, powdered milk, and salt to the bowl of a stand mixer.
- 3
Mix the ingredients for about 4 minutes or until the dough becomes elastic.
- 4
Add the room temperature butter to the dough.
- 5
Continue mixing for a couple of minutes or until the dough is smooth and elastic.
- 6
Take the dough out of the mixer and roll it into a smooth ball.
- 7
Cover the dough and place it in a warm place to rise for about 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.
- 8
Once doubled, deflate the dough and transfer it to a clean work surface.
- 9
Divide the dough into smaller portions (this recipe is ideal for 2 loaves).
- 10
Roll each portion of dough into a log shape.
- 11
Drizzle the dough with 1 tablespoon of oil to prevent it from drying out.
- 12
Transfer the dough logs to your loaf pans.
- 13
Cover the pans and allow the dough to rise again for another 40 to 60 minutes, or until doubled in size.
- 14
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- 15
Bake the bread for 30 minutes until golden brown.
