Ingredients
- 1 lb fresh Brussels sprouts (cut in half)
- 2 bacon (slices, cut into pieces)
- 0.5 red bell pepper (cut into bite-sized pieces)
- 0.5 yellow bell pepper (cut into bite-sized pieces)
- 2 tbsp olive oil (divided)
- 2 tbsp vegetable seasoning (your choice of brand/type, divided)
- 1 tbsp honey
Steps
- 1
Prepare a charcoal grill for medium-high heat and lightly oil the grate.
- 2
Place Brussels sprouts, bacon, bell peppers, 1 tablespoon of olive oil, and 1 tablespoon of vegetable seasoning in a large bowl and toss well to coat.
- 3
Place a grill wok or veggie grill pan on the hot side of the grill and add the vegetable mixture. Close the grill lid and allow to grill for 5 minutes.
- 4
Remove the lid and mix the vegetables with a grill-safe spoon. The vegetables should begin to char.
- 5
Move the grill wok to the cool side of the grill, close the lid, and allow to grill for 5 to 10 minutes.
- 6
Drizzle the honey and the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil directly onto the vegetables, mix well, and close the lid.
- 7
Continue grilling until the vegetables are soft, about 5 minutes more.
- 8
Remove the grill wok from the grill and place the vegetables in a bowl. Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable seasoning and mix well before serving.
Notes
The recipe uses a two-zone grilling method (hot and cool sides) to ensure the bacon sears and the sprouts soften without burning.
