Ingredients

  • 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls (one 12-pack, sliced horizontally in half)
  • 1 lb Breakfast sausage (ground pork sausage)
  • 6 Eggs (scrambled)
  • 6 oz Cheddar cheese (sliced or shredded)
  • 4 tbsp Unsalted butter (melted)
  • 0.5 tsp Garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp Dried parsley
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Black pepper (to taste)

Steps

  1. 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 2

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the breakfast sausage, breaking it up with a spatula until browned and cooked through. Drain any excess grease.

  3. 3

In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs with a pinch of salt and pepper. Scramble them in a lightly greased pan over medium heat until just set but still moist.

  4. 4

Slice the entire pack of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping the individual rolls connected. Place the bottom half in a baking dish or on a sheet pan.

  5. 5

Layer the cooked sausage evenly over the bottom half of the rolls.

  6. 6

Add the scrambled eggs on top of the sausage layer.

  7. 7

Cover the eggs with a layer of cheddar cheese.

  8. 8

Place the top half of the rolls over the cheese.

  9. 9

In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, garlic powder, and dried parsley. Brush this mixture generously over the tops of the rolls.

  10. 10

Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the rolls are warmed through. Remove the foil for the last 2-3 minutes if you prefer a toastier top.

Notes

You can customize these by adding sautéed peppers and onions to the sausage or using different types of cheese like pepper jack for a spicy kick.
