Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion (chopped)
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 0.5 tsp black pepper
- 0.25 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp garlic (minced)
- 2.5 cup pasta (uncooked, such as macaroni)
- 3 cup beef broth
- 8 oz tomato sauce (1 can)
- 2 cup cheddar cheese (shredded)
- 0.33 cup milk
Steps
- 1
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- 2
Add 1 lb of ground beef and the chopped onion to the skillet. Brown the meat until fully cooked through.
- 3
Season the meat mixture with salt, pepper, paprika, oregano, onion powder, and cayenne pepper.
- 4
Drain any extra grease from the skillet.
- 5
Add the minced garlic, 2 1/2 cups of uncooked pasta, 3 cups of beef broth, and the 8 oz can of tomato sauce to the skillet.
- 6
Bring the mixture to a quick boil, then immediately turn the heat down to low.
- 7
Cover the skillet with a lid and cook for about 10-15 minutes. Stir once or twice during this time to prevent the pasta from sticking to the bottom.
- 8
Once the pasta is tender and cooked through, add the 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese and 1/3 cup of milk.
- 9
Stir everything together well until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy. Serve immediately.
Notes
A commenter suggested adding Worcestershire sauce for extra flavor. Ensure you use a large enough skillet to accommodate the liquid and pasta expansion.
