Ingredients
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 0.5 cup parmesan cheese (grated)
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 0.5 tsp black pepper
- 0.25 cup marinara sauce (low sugar to keep it keto)
- 0.5 cup mozzarella cheese (shredded)
- 10 pepperoni (slices)
- fresh basil (for garnish)
Steps
- 1
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 2
In a medium bowl, combine the ground chicken, grated parmesan cheese, beaten egg, garlic powder, oregano, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
- 3
Transfer the chicken mixture to the prepared baking sheet. Firmly press the mixture into a circle approximately 1/4-inch thick, ensuring the edges are even.
- 4
Bake the chicken crust for 20 minutes or until golden brown and firm to the touch.
- 5
Remove the crust from the oven. Spread the marinara sauce evenly over the baked crust, leaving a small border.
- 6
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce and place the pepperoni slices on top.
- 7
Return the pizza to the oven and bake for another 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- 8
Let the pizza rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh basil if desired.
Notes
For a crispier crust, ensure the ground chicken is very dry before mixing. You can substitute pepperoni with your favorite low-carb vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms.
