Ingredients

  • 6 eggs (large)
  • 0.5 cup soy sauce
  • 0.5 cup water
  • 1 tbsp gochugaru (Korean chili flakes)
  • 2 garlic (cloves, minced)
  • 2 green chilies (chopped)
  • 2 green onions (chopped)
  • 0.25 cup onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds

Steps

  1. 1

Boil the eggs for exactly 7 minutes to achieve a creamy yolk.

  2. 2

Immediately transfer the eggs to an ice bath to stop the cooking process.

  3. 3

Carefully peel the eggs and set them aside.

  4. 4

In a container (preferably glass), mix the soy sauce, water, gochugaru, minced garlic, chopped green chilies, green onions, onion, rice vinegar, honey, and sesame seeds.

  5. 5

Submerge the peeled eggs in the marinade, ensuring they are fully covered.

  6. 6

Refrigerate for at least one day (24 hours) to allow the flavors to penetrate.

Notes

They can be enjoyed with white rice, in salads, or on toast. They keep well in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
