Weights are estimates. Together, the ingredients weigh about 905 g before cooking, which is about 90 g per serving.
Steps
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190 °C) (190°C (375 °F)).
Add the butter pecan cake mix to a mixing bowl. If preferred, use yellow or vanilla cake mix instead.
Crack the egg into the bowl with the cake mix.
Add the entire can of pumpkin purée to the bowl.
Mix the cake mix, egg, and pumpkin purée together until a uniform pumpkin batter forms.
Spray a loaf pan thoroughly with cooking spray.
Transfer the pumpkin batter to the prepared loaf pan, scraping the bowl so that all of the batter is used.
Bake at 375°F (190 °C) (190°C (375 °F)) for about 30 to 45 minutes. Keep an eye on it because the exact baking time depends on the oven.
Remove the loaf from the oven when baked through and allow it to cool enough to serve.
Notes
The source does not provide a specific loaf-pan size or a detailed doneness test. Baking time may vary from 30 to 45 minutes depending on the oven.
