Ingredients
- 1 pack Instant ramen noodles (any spicy variety like Buldak or Shin Ramyun)
- 0.5 cup Heavy cream (used to create the creamy base)
- 0.25 cup Water (reserved noodle cooking water or fresh water to thin the sauce)
- 1 Ramen seasoning packet (the spicy sauce/powder included with the noodles)
- 0.25 cup Mozzarella cheese (shredded)
- 1 stalk Green onions (sliced for garnish)
Steps
- 1
Bring a pot of water to a boil and cook the instant ramen noodles according to the package instructions until they are al dente.
- 2
Drain the noodles, reserving about a 1/4 cup of the cooking water if you prefer a thinner sauce.
- 3
In a skillet or the same pot over medium-low heat, add the heavy cream and the spicy seasoning packet from the ramen.
- 4
Whisk the cream and seasoning together until well combined and the sauce begins to simmer slightly.
- 5
Add the cooked noodles to the sauce and toss thoroughly to coat every strand.
- 6
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the noodles and stir until the cheese is completely melted and the sauce is thick and stretchy.
- 7
Transfer the noodles to a bowl and garnish with sliced green onions before serving hot.
Notes
For extra protein, you can add a fried egg or sliced chicken. If the sauce becomes too thick, add a splash of the reserved noodle water to reach your desired consistency.
