Ingredients
- 1 cup pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)
- 4 cup apple cider (get the good stuff)
- 2 cup orange juice (pulp free is recommended for a typical cocktail experience)
- 0.5 cup bourbon (Woodford Reserve recommended, but any brand works)
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 bottles champagne (chilled)
- sliced apples (for garnish)
- oranges (sliced, for garnish)
- cinnamon sticks (for garnish)
- star anise (for garnish)
Steps
- 1
Pour the pumpkin puree, apple cider, orange juice, bourbon, and ground cinnamon into a punch bowl.
- 2
Stir the mixture well until the pumpkin puree has completely dissolved into the liquid.
- 3
Pour in the chilled champagne and give the punch a light stir to combine without losing too much carbonation.
- 4
Garnish the punch bowl with sliced apples, sliced oranges, cinnamon sticks, and star anise.
- 5
Serve to your thirsty DnD adventurers!
Notes
The pumpkin provides a unique texture and flavor that balances well with the cider and orange juice. While the recipe calls for 1/2 cup of bourbon, you can increase this amount if you prefer a stronger drink. Alternatively, rum or vodka can be used as a substitute for bourbon depending on your flavor preference.
