Ingredients

  • 1 cup Blazin’ Apple Fireball Whiskey (simmered to burn off alcohol)
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 6 tbsp brown sugar
  • 0.5 tsp ground cinnamon (source says 1/2 cinnamon; tsp inferred for balance)
  • cayenne pepper (a pinch)
  • 2 lb chicken wings (cooked until really crispy)

Steps

  1. 1

Place 1 cup of Blazin’ Apple Fireball Whiskey in a sauce pan over medium heat.

  2. 2

Simmer the whiskey for a minute or two to burn off the alcohol.

  3. 3

Add in 1 cup of apple cider and stir to combine.

  4. 4

Turn up the heat and add 6 tablespoons of brown sugar.

  5. 5

Simmer and stir the mixture continuously until it reduces and turns into a thick syrup.

  6. 6

Add 1/2 tsp of cinnamon and a pinch of cayenne pepper, then mix together thoroughly.

  7. 7

Pour the finished sauce over really crispy, freshly cooked chicken wings and toss to coat.

Notes

The author suggests using 'really crispy' wings to stand up to the syrupy glaze. The measurement for cinnamon was listed as '1/2' in the source; 1/2 teaspoon is the standard culinary assumption for this volume of sauce.
