Ingredients
- 1.4 Peaches (washed, pitted, and sliced into wedges)
- 23 g Butter
- 0.2 tsp Vanilla extract
- 30 g Brown sugar
- 60 ml Whole milk
- 0.5 tsp Baking powder
- 0.05 tsp Salt
- 55 g All-purpose flour
- 100 g Vanilla ice cream (for serving)
Steps
- 1
Preheat the oven to 175 °C (top and bottom heat).
- 2
Wash the peaches, halve them, and remove the pits. Then cut the fruit into even wedges.
- 3
Melt the butter in an ovenproof dish in the oven.
- 4
In a bowl, mix together the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in the milk and vanilla extract until a smooth batter forms.
- 5
Pour the batter directly over the melted butter in the baking dish, but do not stir.
- 6
Distribute the peach wedges evenly over the batter.
- 7
Bake in the preheated oven for approx. 40-45 minutes, until the crust is golden brown and the peaches are tender.
- 8
Serve the cobbler warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Notes
The cobbler tastes best when served fresh from the oven, while the ice cream melts on top.
