  • 1 tsp onion powder (For the dry batter)

  • 1 tsp black pepper (For the dry batter)
  • 2 cup panko breadcrumbs (For coating)
  • 1 tbsp dried parsley (Mixed with the breadcrumbs)
  • 1 egg (For the egg wash)
  • 0.333 cup water (For the egg wash)
  • oil (For frying; amount not specified)
  • 1 cup mayonnaise (For the chicken sauce)
  • 2 tbsp ketchup (For the chicken sauce)
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (For the chicken sauce)
  • salt (For the sauce, to taste)
  • black pepper (For the sauce, to taste)
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder (For the chicken sauce)
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika powder (For the chicken sauce)

Steps

  1. 1

Pat the chicken strips dry and place them in a mixing bowl.

  2. 2

Season the chicken with salt, black pepper, paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder. Drizzle with the oil, mix well, and marinate in the refrigerator for about 1 hour.

  3. 3

Prepare the dry batter by combining the all-purpose flour, salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder in a bowl.

  4. 4

Prepare the egg wash by cracking the egg into a bowl, adding the water, and whisking until combined.

  5. 5

In a separate tray, combine the panko breadcrumbs and dried parsley.

  6. 6

Coat each chicken strip in the dry batter, then dip it in the egg mixture. Repeat the dry-batter and egg coating, then coat the strip in the breadcrumbs.

  7. 7

Lay the coated chicken strips flat on a sheet and repeat until all the chicken is coated.

  8. 8

Make the sauce by mixing the mayonnaise, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika until combined.

  9. 9

Heat frying oil to 350°F (175°C).

  10. 10

Carefully place the chicken strips in the hot oil and cook for 2–3 minutes, or until golden and crispy and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

  11. 11

Serve the crispy chicken fries with the chicken sauce.

Notes

The source specifies frying oil but does not give an amount. It also names garlic powder in the chicken seasoning method without specifying a quantity. Fry chicken in batches as needed so the oil remains hot and the strips cook evenly.
