Ingredients
- 3 lb boneless chicken thighs (from Costco)
- 3 cup Mr. Yoshida’s Original Gourmet Sauce (or 1/2 bottle; alternatively use a 1:1 ratio of soy sauce and white sugar)
- 1 cup minced garlic (jarred garlic (jarlic) recommended)
- green onions (sliced, for garnish)
- sesame seeds (for garnish)
- white rice (for serving)
Steps
- 1
In a large bowl or container, combine the boneless chicken thighs, Mr. Yoshida's sauce, and minced garlic.
- 2
Marinate the chicken in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, though overnight is highly recommended for best flavor.
- 3
Fire up your grill until it is nice and hot.
- 4
Place the chicken on the grill and cook, flipping occasionally, until both sides have a beautiful char and the chicken is cooked through.
- 5
Remove from the grill and top with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
- 6
Serve hot over white rice.
- 7
Pack up any leftovers for your weekly meal prep.
Notes
If you cannot find Mr. Yoshida's sauce, you can create a base marinade using a 1:1 ratio of soy sauce (shoyu) and white sugar. Some commenters also suggest adding a cup of sriracha and a few tablespoons of ginger to the marinade for extra kick.
