- 2 lb Thin-sliced chuck roast (Available at Costco; ensure it is very thinly sliced)
- 0.5 bottle Mr. Yoshida’s Original Gourmet Sauce (Approximately 8-9 oz if using a standard 17 oz bottle)
- 1 cup Garlic (minced)
- Green onions (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
- Rice (for serving)

Steps
- 1
In a large bowl or resealable bag, combine the thin-sliced chuck roast, 1/2 bottle of Mr. Yoshida's sauce, and 1 cup of minced garlic.
- 2
Marinate the meat in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or overnight for the best flavor and tenderness.

Grill the meat on both sides until you achieve a beautiful char and a crust forms.

Remove from the grill and top with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
- 6
Serve immediately with a side of macaroni salad and white rice.
- 7
Pack up any leftovers for weekly meal prep.
Notes
Using thinly sliced chuck roast is the key to this recipe; it mimics the texture of short ribs at a fraction of the cost. Mr. Yoshida's sauce is highly recommended by the author as the secret ingredient for authentic flavor.
