Ingredients
- 2 slices Sourdough bread (Cut into thick slices)
- 50 ml Heavy cream
- 2 Eggs
- Cinnamon (Pinch)
- Salt (Pinch)
- 2 tbsp Butter (For greasing the pan)
- 2 Ripe nectarines (Pitted and cut into chunky slices; source title says peaches, but ingredient list and transcript specify nectarines)
- 280 g Burrata
- 2 tbsp Small basil leaves
- 1 tsp Pomegranate molasses (For drizzling)
Steps
- 1
In a shallow bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, eggs, cinnamon, and salt until combined.
- 2
Pit the nectarines and cut each half into three pieces, or cut them into chunky slices.
- 3
Heat a grill pan, arrange the nectarine pieces on it, and grill both sides until marked with grill stripes.
- 4
Quickly dip each sourdough slice in the egg mixture, turning to coat it. Do not leave the bread soaking long enough to become soggy.
- 5
Heat a separate pan and melt the butter to grease the cooking surface.
- 6
Lay the coated bread in the pan and cook both sides until golden brown.
- 7
Break up the burrata in a bowl, then spread it between the French toast slices.
- 8
Arrange the grilled nectarines on top of the burrata.
- 9
Finish with the basil leaves and a drizzle of pomegranate molasses. Serve immediately.
Notes
The ingredient list specifies heavy cream, while the written instructions say milk; the transcript also identifies cream, so heavy cream is used here. The title says peach, but both the ingredient list and spoken transcript specify nectarines.
