Ingredients
- 250 g ground beef (formed into two thin patties)
- 2 rebanadas cheddar cheese (or one thick slice for the center)
- 8 tiras bacon (enough to form a weave)
- 0.5 cup all-purpose flour (for the first breading step)
- 2 eggs (beaten for breading)
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs (for an extra-crispy coating)
- vegetable oil (enough for frying)
- 1 hamburger bun (toasted)
- seasonings (salt and pepper to taste)
Steps
- 1
Form two thin patties with the ground beef and season with salt and pepper.
- 2
Place the cheddar slices in the center of one patty and cover with the other, sealing the edges well so the cheese does not escape.
- 3
On a clean surface, create a square bacon weave with the bacon strips.
- 4
Place the sealed burger in the center of the bacon weave and wrap it completely, making sure all the meat is covered with bacon.
- 5
Prepare three bowls for breading: one with flour, another with the beaten eggs, and the third with the panko breadcrumbs.
- 6
Coat the bacon-wrapped burger first in the flour, then in the egg, and finally cover it well with the panko.
- 7
Heat the vegetable oil in a deep pot or deep fryer to 175°C (350°F).
- 8
Carefully fry the burger until the outside is golden and crispy and the bacon is cooked, approximately 5 to 7 minutes.
- 9
Remove from the oil and drain on paper towels for one minute.
- 10
Serve the fried burger on a toasted bun with your favorite toppings.
Notes
This is a very high-calorie ASMR-style recipe. Be sure to seal the edges of the meat well to prevent the cheese from leaking into the hot oil.
