Ingredients
- 3 oz strawberry gelatin (1 box)
- 3 tbsp unflavored gelatin
- 1 cup hot water
- 2.5 cup granulated sugar (plus extra for coating the pan)
Steps
- 1
In a bowl or measuring cup, combine one 3-ounce box of strawberry gelatin and three tablespoons of unflavored gelatin with one cup of hot water.
- 2
Pour the gelatin mixture into the bowl of a stand mixer.
- 3
Add two and a half cups of sugar to the mixer.
- 4
Beat the mixture for approximately five minutes until it becomes fluffy, creamy, and significantly increased in volume.
- 5
Prepare a pan by coating the bottom and sides with a layer of granulated sugar.
- 6
Pour the whipped marshmallow mixture into the sugar-coated pan and spread evenly.
- 7
Place the pan in the refrigerator and allow it to set for at least two hours.
- 8
Once set, remove from the pan and cut into little squares to serve.
Notes
Ensure the water is hot enough to fully dissolve the gelatin before adding the sugar. You can dust the knife with sugar or cornstarch to prevent sticking when cutting the squares.
