Ingredients
- 1 Hot dog bun
- 1 rebanada Cheddar cheese (Place inside the bun)
- 1 Hot dog sausage
- 2 tbsp Grated hard cheese (Sprinkle over the sausage)
- 1 tbsp Pickle (Finely chopped)
- 1 tbsp Red onion (Finely chopped)
- 1 tsp Mustard (For serving)
- 1 tbsp Mayonnaise (For serving)
- 1 tbsp Ketchup (For serving)
Steps
- 1
Preheat the oven to 200 °C. Split the hot dog bun without separating it completely and place it on a baking sheet.
- 2
Place the cheddar slice inside the bun.
- 3
Add the sausage to the bun, on top of the cheddar.
- 4
Sprinkle the grated hard cheese over the sausage.
- 5
Bake for 10–15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the surface is golden brown. Watch the bun during the last few minutes to prevent it from burning.
- 6
Remove the hot dog from the oven and add the finely chopped pickle.
- 7
Add the finely chopped red onion.
- 8
Drizzle mustard, mayonnaise, and ketchup to taste over the hot dog.
- 9
Serve immediately while the bun is hot and the cheese is still melted.
