Weights are estimates. Together, the ingredients weigh about 1.68 kg before cooking, which is about 280 g per serving.
Steps
Preheat the oven to 350°F (180 °C) (175°C (350 °F)).
Combine the ground beef, garlic powder, 1 teaspoon kosher salt, and ground black pepper in a bowl.
Press the seasoned beef into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish, forming a flat, even layer.
Bake the beef for 20 minutes. Drain the liquid from the pan, then set the cooked beef aside.
Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half lengthwise. Place the bottom half of the rolls in a lined baking pan.
Place the cooked beef patty on top of the bottom half of the rolls.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the diced onion to the skillet and stir to coat it with the oil. Cook until the onion is translucent and fragrant.
Top the beef with the cooked onions, cheese snack bars, and the top half of the rolls.
In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, ½ teaspoon kosher salt, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, and sesame seeds.
Brush the butter mixture liberally over the tops of the rolls, or pour it over them. Sprinkle additional sesame seeds on top.
Bake the assembled sliders for an additional 20 minutes, or until the bread is toasted and the cheese is melted.
Slice the baked slab into individual sliders and serve hot.
Notes
The author recommends checking the internal temperature of the meat in the center of the pan with an instant-read thermometer. To freeze, wrap baked sliders individually in two layers of plastic wrap and one layer of aluminum foil for up to 3 months; thaw overnight in the refrigerator before reheating. The source does not specify a target internal temperature or reheating temperature.
