Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 130 ml milk
- 1 banana (Ripe; provides natural sweetness.)
- 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder (The recipe specifies one large tablespoon.)
- 1 tsp baking powder (The recipe specifies one small tablespoon.)
- 100 g rolled oats
- 100 g dark chocolate (For melting and coating the donuts; the source does not specify the exact amount, so some may be left over for coating them.)
Steps
- 1
Preheat the air fryer or oven to 160 °C. Lightly grease a donut pan to make unmolding easier.
- 2
Place the eggs, milk, banana, cocoa powder, baking powder, and rolled oats in a blender.
- 3
Blend until the mixture is smooth and relatively silky, with no large oat lumps. Scrape down the sides of the blender if necessary.
- 4
Pour the mixture into the cavities of the donut pan, filling them approximately three-quarters full to leave room during cooking.
- 5
Cook the donuts at 160 °C for approximately 20 minutes in the air fryer or oven. They are ready when they look firm and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
- 6
Remove the pan and let the donuts rest for a few minutes so they can firm up. Carefully unmold them and transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- 7
Melt the dark chocolate in a double boiler or in the microwave in short intervals, stirring between each interval until smooth. Avoid overheating it.
- 8
Dip the top of each donut in the melted chocolate and place them on wax paper or a wire rack.
- 9
Refrigerate the donuts until the chocolate coating hardens. Serve them chilled or at room temperature.
Notes
The source allows for using an air fryer or oven at 160 °C for 20 minutes. The amount of chocolate for the coating is not specified; use only as much as needed to coat the donuts. Store the donuts refrigerated in an airtight container and preferably consume them within 3 days.
