Ingredients
- 3 tbsp Butter
- 3 Garlic (minced)
- 2 cup Chicken stock (or bone broth)
- 8 oz Sun-dried tomatoes (oil-packed, drained)
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt (to taste)
- Black pepper (to taste)
- Red pepper flakes (to taste)
- 0.5 cup Half-and-half (or whole milk)
- 8 oz Angel hair pasta
- 2 tbsp Cream cheese (softened)
- 0.333 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
Steps
- 1
Melt 3 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- 2
Add 3 cloves of minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- 3
Stir in 2 cups of chicken stock, 8 ounces of drained sun-dried tomatoes, 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning, and salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes to taste.
- 4
Pour in 1/2 cup of half-and-half and bring the mixture to a gentle boil.
- 5
Add 8 ounces of angel hair pasta to the skillet. Let it soften for 30 seconds, then use tongs to submerge the pasta completely in the liquid.
- 6
Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring regularly to prevent the pasta from sticking together.
- 7
Reduce the heat to low. Stir in 2 tablespoons of softened cream cheese and 1/3 cup of grated parmesan cheese.
- 8
Continue stirring until the cheeses are completely melted and the sauce becomes velvety.
- 9
If the sauce appears too thick, add a splash of additional stock to reach your desired consistency. Serve immediately while hot and glossy.
Notes
If you don't have half-and-half, whole milk can be used as a substitute. Ensure the cream cheese is softened before adding to ensure it melts smoothly into the sauce.
