Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 0.5 apple (Thinly sliced; estimated at approximately half a medium apple.)
- 1 tl cinnamon
- 35 ml almond milk
- 50 g low-fat vanilla quark (The source specifies low-fat vanilla quark.)
- 35 g wheat flour
- 0.5 tl baking powder
- honey (Optional, as a drizzle for extra sweetness; quantity to taste.)
Steps
- 1
Preheat the oven to 180 °C. Use one small ovenproof bowl or baking dish per serving.
- 2
Crack the egg into a bowl. Add the almond milk and vanilla quark, and mix everything into a smooth batter without visible lumps.
- 3
Add the wheat flour, baking powder, and cinnamon. Carefully fold them into the batter until the dry ingredients are just incorporated.
- 4
Add the thin apple slices and fold them evenly through the batter so they are distributed throughout the pancake bake.
- 5
Bake the bowl or dish in the preheated oven for 20–25 minutes, until the top is golden brown and the center feels cooked and fluffy.
- 6
Allow the pancake bake to cool briefly if desired and serve warm. Drizzle with honey if preferred.
Notes
The recipe makes one serving in a single bowl. Multiply all ingredients for multiple bowls. For meal prep, the pancake bake can later be briefly reheated in the oven or air fryer.
