The price gap needs a better excuse
Social import is the starting point. Share a supported video to SeeMeCook or paste its link into Import Recipe. You get ingredients, quantities and numbered steps, with the source link and creator credit when available. A video saved on your phone can be uploaded directly.
ReciMe's own site lists 5 free imports a week. SeeMeCook gives you 10. Its free plan also includes Cooking Mode, recipe books, search and scaling. You can start cooking before you start a subscription.

Make the app earn its place on the counter
Open a saved recipe in Cooking Mode. The current step stays large, its ingredients stay close, and narration can read the instruction aloud while you cook. Adjust the servings from the recipe page and the quantities update with them.
Pro adds translation, unlimited imports and the other tools in the plan table. Keep family recipes in a shared book, split a large collection into sub-books, and use tags to find a dish across categories. A public recipe link opens in a browser when the person you are sending it to does not have the app.
Switch. Keep the $30.
Import a recipe you actually want to make. Follow the TikTok walkthrough, then try Cooking Mode at the stove. That tells you more than another subscription pitch.
