Ingredients
- 3 lb chicken drumsticks (can use other chicken cuts)
- 0.33 napa cabbage (chopped)
- 1 apple (chopped)
- 1 onion (chopped)
- ginger (few pieces)
- 1 tbsp garlic (minced)
- salt (to taste)
Steps
- 1
Chop the napa cabbage, apple, and onion into large pieces.
- 2
Place the 3 lbs of chicken drumsticks, chopped cabbage, chopped apple, chopped onion, ginger pieces, and 1 tablespoon of minced garlic into the pressure cooker.
- 3
Add salt to taste. Do not add any water or liquid to the pot.
- 4
Secure the lid and cook on high pressure for 30 minutes.
- 5
Once the timer goes off, release the pressure and serve the chicken with the concentrated broth that has formed.
- 6
Optionally, prepare a finishing oil by heating a neutral oil and pouring it over a bowl of freshly chopped garlic, ginger, and green onions to serve alongside the soup.
Notes
The creator recommends serving this with a quick aromatic oil: heat any neutral oil and pour it over chopped garlic, ginger, and green onions. The apple provides a subtle sweetness that balances the savory chicken and cabbage.
