Ingredients
- 2.5 cups All-purpose flour
- 0.25 cup Brown sugar
- 1 tbsp Baking powder
- 1.5 tbsp Ground cinnamon
- 2 cups Heavy cream
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 1 stick Butter (Melted; 1 stick is 8 tablespoons.)
- 1.5 cups Powdered sugar
- 3 tbsp Butter (Melted; for the icing.)
- 1 tsp Vanilla (For the icing.)
- 2 tbsp Heavy cream (About 2 tablespoons; for the icing.)
Steps
- 1
In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, and ground cinnamon. Whisk them together with a small whisk until evenly mixed.
- 2
Add the 2 cups heavy cream and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Mix until a large, sticky ball of biscuit dough forms.
- 3
Set the dough aside. Melt 1 stick of butter and pour it into an 8-by-8-inch baking dish.
- 4
Place the dough in the baking dish on top of the melted butter. Spread it out as evenly as you can; it need not be perfect.
- 5
Pre-cut the dough into biscuits to make them easier to separate after baking; the cuts do not need to be perfect.
- 6
Bake at 450°F (230°C) for about 25 minutes, until the top is golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- 7
Remove the pan from the oven and let the biscuits cool; they will be extremely hot.
- 8
While the biscuits cool, combine the powdered sugar, 3 tablespoons melted butter, 1 teaspoon vanilla, and about 2 tablespoons heavy cream in a bowl. Whisk until smooth.
- 9
Drizzle or spread the icing over the cooled cinnamon-roll biscuits.
- 10
Scoop a biscuit onto a plate and serve with a fork.
Notes
The transcript does not specify an exact yield. Servings estimated as 9 portions from the 8-by-8-inch pan. Let the biscuits cool before icing and serving; the source warns they are molten hot when they come out of the oven.
