Ingredients
- 1.5 cup rolled oats (blended into flour)
- 2 scoops vanilla protein powder
- 0.5 cup peanut butter (Mayver's food brand recommended)
- 0.33 cup honey
- water (add 1 tbsp at a time if mixture is too dry)
- 100 g dark chocolate (for topping)
- flaky salt (for sprinkling on top)
Steps
- 1
Place the rolled oats in a blender and process until they reach a fine flour consistency.
- 2
In a large mixing bowl, combine the oat flour, vanilla protein powder, peanut butter, and honey.
- 3
Mix the ingredients well until thoroughly combined. If the mixture appears too dry or crumbly, add water one tablespoon at a time until a pressable consistency is reached.
- 4
Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Transfer the mixture to the tray and press it down firmly and evenly into the base.
- 5
Place the dark chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Melt in the microwave in short bursts, stirring in between, until smooth.
- 6
Pour the melted chocolate over the oat base and spread it evenly to the edges.
- 7
Place the tray in the fridge and allow it to set until the chocolate is firm.
- 8
Once set, sprinkle with flaky salt. Slice into bars and enjoy.
Notes
If the mixture is too dry, add water very gradually. Store these bars in a sealed container in the fridge to keep the chocolate from melting and maintain texture.
