- 1 packet Baking powder (1 packet of baking powder)
- 1 packet Citric acid or Lemon juice (1 packet of citric acid or the juice of half a lemon)
- 1.2 cup Flour (1 and a half cups)

Steps
- 1
In a large bowl, whisk the four whole eggs (whites and yolks) together.
- 2
Gradually add the sugar to the eggs while continuing to mix.
- 3
Pour in the vegetable oil and mix until incorporated.
- 4
Add the baking powder and the citric acid (or lemon juice) to the mixture.
- 5
Incorporate the flour into the batter.
- 6
Fold in your chosen filling (e.g., bananas with chocolate, or apples and other fruits with raisins).
- 7
Pour the batter into a greased cake tin and bake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean (typically 40-50 minutes at 180°C/350°F).
Notes
The recipe uses a 'pahar' (glass/cup) as the standard measure for all quantities. Suggested filling combinations include bananas with chocolate, or apples/other fruits with raisins. If using pumpkin, it should be grated directly into the mix.
