Ingredients

  • Cooking spray (nonstick spray for greasing)
  • 0.75 cup Alfredo sauce (refrigerated)
  • 1.25 cup Chicken bone broth
  • 0.75 cup High-protein milk (such as Fairlife® 2%)
  • 0.5 tsp Garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Black pepper (freshly ground, to taste)
  • 8 oz Protein pasta (such as Barilla® Protein+)
  • 5 oz Tuna (1 can, such as Safe Catch®)
  • 0.5 cup Frozen peas and carrots
  • 0.25 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
  • 0.5 cup White cheddar cheese (shredded)

Steps

  1. 1

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

  2. 2

Lightly grease an 8x8-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.

  3. 3

In a large bowl, whisk together the Alfredo sauce, chicken bone broth, high-protein milk, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and black pepper.

  4. 4

Stir in the dry pasta, tuna, and frozen peas and carrots until the ingredients are well coated in the sauce mixture.

  5. 5

Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish, ensuring the pasta is submerged as much as possible to ensure even cooking.

  6. 6

Sprinkle the grated Parmesan and shredded white cheddar cheese evenly over the top.

  7. 7

Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil.

  8. 8

Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes.

  9. 9

Remove the foil and continue to bake until the sauce is bubbling and the cheese is lightly golden on top, about 10 to 15 minutes more.

Notes

For best results, ensure the pasta is fully submerged in the liquid before baking to prevent hard edges. Using high-protein pasta and milk significantly boosts the protein content of this comfort dish.
