Ingredients
- 85 g angel hair pasta or somyeon noodles (Use somyeon noodles or angel hair pasta; cook according to the package, about 3 minutes for the noodles used in the video.)
- 1.5 tbsp soy sauce (Low-sodium preferred.)
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 0.5 tbsp white sugar (Alternatively, use 1/4 tsp honey.)
- 0.5 tbsp garlic (Minced or grated.)
- 1 tsp toasted sesame seeds
- 1 tsp gochugaru (Optional.)
- green onions (Chopped, to taste; optional.)
- kimchi (Chopped, to taste.)
- roasted seaweed (gim) (Optional; tear or cut into pieces.)
- egg (Optional; soft-boiled.)
Steps
- 1
Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add the somyeon noodles or angel hair pasta and cook for about 3 minutes, or until tender according to the package directions.
- 2
While the noodles cook, combine the soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar (or honey), minced or grated garlic, toasted sesame seeds, chopped green onions, and optional gochugaru in a bowl. Mix well, then taste and adjust the seasoning if desired.
- 3
Drain the cooked noodles and rinse them thoroughly with cold water to stop the cooking and cool them. Drain well so the sauce does not become diluted.
- 4
Add the cooled noodles to the sauce and toss until every strand is evenly coated.
- 5
Top with chopped kimchi, roasted seaweed or gim, and an optional soft-boiled egg. Serve immediately.
Notes
The sauce ingredients serve one. The listed noodle amount is an estimate because the post does not specify a noodle quantity. For a five-minute preparation, use a previously prepared soft-boiled egg or cook it while the noodles boil.
