Ingredients
- 4 Roma tomatoes (diced)
- 3 garlic cloves (crushed)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 1 tsp salt
- 0.25 tsp pepper
- 10 fresh basil leaves (chopped)
- 8 oz garlic and herb spread (store-bought)
- balsamic glaze (for drizzling)
- bagel chips (for serving)
Steps
- 1
In a large bowl, combine the diced Roma tomatoes, crushed garlic, salt, pepper, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, and chopped fresh basil.
- 2
Mix the tomato mixture well to ensure all ingredients are evenly distributed, then set aside to let the flavors meld.
- 3
Spread the garlic and herb spread evenly across a serving platter to create a base layer.
- 4
Spoon the prepared bruschetta mixture on top of the spread, being careful not to include too much of the excess juice from the tomatoes.
- 5
Drizzle the balsamic glaze over the top of the dip.
- 6
Serve immediately with bagel chips for dipping.
Notes
To prevent the dip from becoming too watery, you can seed the tomatoes before dicing or use a slotted spoon when topping the herb spread.
