Ingredients
- 2 espresso (freshly brewed shots)
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- ice (for shaking and serving)
- milk (splash of your choice)
- 2 oz heavy whipping cream
- 20 g pumpkin spice syrup (such as Skinny Mixes)
Steps
- 1
Brew 2 shots of espresso into a heat-safe container.
- 2
Combine the hot espresso and 1 tablespoon of brown sugar in a cocktail shaker or jar.
- 3
Add a generous handful of ice to the shaker, seal it tightly, and shake vigorously until the espresso is chilled and a light foam has formed.
- 4
Strain or pour the shaken espresso and ice into a serving glass.
- 5
Add a splash of your preferred milk to the glass.
- 6
In a separate small pitcher or glass, combine 2 oz of heavy whipping cream and 20g of pumpkin spice syrup.
- 7
Use a handheld milk frother to froth the cream and syrup mixture for approximately 20 seconds, or until it reaches a thick, cold foam consistency.
- 8
Pour the pumpkin cold foam over the top of the shaken espresso and enjoy immediately.
Notes
The author recommends using Bones Coffee Company espresso and Skinny Mixes pumpkin spice syrup. For a lighter version, you can substitute the heavy cream with a mix of milk and cream, though it may not froth as thickly.
