Weights are estimates. Together, the ingredients weigh about 2.39 kg before cooking, which is about 400 g per serving.
Steps
Place the beef in a large slow cooker or other suitable one-pot cooker. Add the French onion soup and stir so the beef is coated and the soup is distributed throughout.
Cover the cooker and cook on HIGH for about 4 hours, or until the beef is very tender and falls apart easily when tested with a fork.
Add the entire 16-ounce package of egg noodles to the cooked beef and liquid. Stir carefully to combine, ensuring the noodles are moistened.
Continue cooking until the egg noodles are tender, following the package timing as a guide. Stir occasionally if practical so the noodles cook evenly and do not clump.
Add about half a container of sour cream. Stir until it is fully incorporated and the sauce is creamy and evenly coating the beef and noodles.
Spoon the beef and noodles into bowls and serve hot. The finished beef should be tender enough to fall apart in the mouth, and the noodles should be soft but not mushy.
Notes
The transcript does not state the beef cut or quantity, the French onion soup can size, the sour cream container size, or the exact noodle cooking time. Because the noodles are cooked in the slow-cooker mixture, check them frequently near the end to prevent overcooking. Refrigerate leftovers promptly and reheat gently with a splash of water or broth if the sauce thickens.
