Ingredients
- 500 g Cream cheese
- 190 g Smoked bacon
- 1 Large red bell pepper (Diced)
- 1 cup Sugar
- 0.5 cup Water
- 1 tbsp White vinegar
Steps
- 1
Cook the bacon in a skillet until well browned and crispy. Set the bacon aside and reserve some of the rendered fat.
- 2
While the bacon is cooking, dice the red bell pepper and place it in a small saucepan.
- 3
Add the white vinegar, sugar, and water to the bell pepper. Cook slowly over low heat.
- 4
When the mixture comes to a boil, continue cooking until it thickens and reaches the consistency shown in the video.
- 5
Add the browned bacon with some of its rendered fat and mix. Let the mixture cool so the bacon retains its crispy texture.
- 6
Spoon the bell pepper and bacon mixture over the cream cheese.
- 7
Refrigerate for 30 minutes and serve chilled.
Notes
The description lists one cup of water among the ingredients, but the audio mentions half a cup; the written amount in the description was retained as the primary source. The cooking time is not specified; the estimate is approximate.
