Ingredients
- 4 boneless skinless chicken thighs
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
Steps
- 1
In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, oyster sauce, honey, brown sugar, and rice vinegar to create the marinade.
- 2
Add the chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. For best results, let them marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight in the refrigerator.
- 3
Preheat your oven or air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- 4
Place the chicken on a rack over a baking sheet or in the air fryer basket. Cook for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through and brushing with any remaining marinade, until the chicken is cooked through and the edges are charred and caramelized.
- 5
Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
For a more authentic color, you can add a drop of red food coloring or a teaspoon of beet powder to the marinade.
