Ingredients

  • 250 g ground meat (200-300 grams of ground meat (ground beef or mixed))
  • 1 onion (chopped)
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 250 g mushrooms (sliced)
  • 200 g green beans (green beans)
  • 2 tbsp peanut butter (peanut butter)
  • 2 tbsp ketjap manis (sweet soy sauce)
  • 1 beef bouillon cube (beef bouillon cube)
  • 200 ml coconut milk (coconut milk)
  • 100 ml water
  • 1 tbsp sambal (to taste (author used 1 tbsp))

Steps

  1. 1

Sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic in a pan until fragrant.

  2. 2

Add the ground meat to the pan and cook until browned.

  3. 3

Add the sliced mushrooms to the pan with the meat and continue cooking until the mushrooms are tender.

  4. 4

Meanwhile, boil the green beans in a separate pot of water until just tender, then drain.

  5. 5

Once the meat and mushrooms are cooked, add the coconut milk, water, peanut butter, ketjap manis, sambal, and the bouillon cube to the pan.

  6. 6

Let the mixture simmer and cook down until it forms a beautiful, thickened sauce.

  7. 7

Stir the cooked green beans into the sauce and meat mixture.

  8. 8

Serve the satay skillet immediately with rice or fried potatoes.

Notes

Serve with rice or potatoes for a complete meal. Adjust the sambal according to your spice preference.
